Greenlight for traveling in summer

The travel industry has had a roller coaster ride over the last few months. The pandemic caused great challenges for travelers all around the globe, with flight cancellations, limited overseas options, and travel bans. Countries have been tightening their border controls, mandatory quarantines are being practiced throughout the world and restrictions are changing on a daily basis.

We are deeply sorry we had to reschedule a few of our favorite summer retreats, especially the one in Whistler, Canada (for EU travelers), and the other one in Europe (for North America travelers), due to current travel bans. But we understand the gravity of the situation and we all agree that the safety of our travelers and guides is the number one priority.

For anyone who wants to stay updated with the latest travel news, you can always check the official webpages of the U.S. State Department and CDC, which include some general information regarding traveling. Besides that, the World Tourism and Travel Organization decided to introduce a #safetravels stamp, that will allow travelers to recognize governments and companies around the world which have adopted health and hygiene global standardized protocols – so travelers can experience ‘Safe Travels’.

While most long-haul travels might be out of the question for most of us this summer, that doesn’t mean NO holiday at all! Especially in times when life confronts you with stressful and challenging situations, it is important to take a break and relax. Experts say that outdoor activities increase health and physical development and help relieve stress. Even more, nature is supposed to boost up our energy levels and improve our overall well being!

So, for those yearning for a weekend getaway filled with active outdoor fun, local food, and fresh air, these weekend ideas provide the respite needed to recharge and relax. All of them are reachable within a short distance by train or car.

These are our top 3 picks for your summer getaway:

  1. Head down to the beach. In July, the NYC Beaches reopened for swimming. Don’t forget to check out our surf & yoga weekend retreat.
  2. Visit the NYC best MTB park for a day, preferably by participating in some sports activities. Cunningham Park offers some great options for that!
  3. Take a trip to the Upstate NYC. A variety of biking, hiking, yoga & photo weekend retreats around the Catskills area will definitely lift up your mood!

The above activities and retreats are perfect for a closed community, providing complete safety and isolation while spending quality time with your family and close friends. We are almost fully booked for the summer, so those who are keen to join better write us asap, to get on the waiting list and reserve your spot!

Three weeks ago we also started with our summer outdoor kids camp in NYC. We are thrilled that the response was so great and that the camp is already fully booked for the summer! However, we will always do our best to find a free spot for your kid to experience the best summer adventure on a mountain bike, surf, skate, balance, music, and photo adventure with us! Contact us!
