We do believe this island has a great potential to become THE mountain bike destination everyone will brag about! Firstly, as it offers a sustainable trail network around the whole island, it enables easy movements. Secondly, our local guides are really impatient to share with you the most spectacular, remote and diverse locations. Finally, they always look for the best way to please your needs on this overwhelming island!
Ok, I am in! What is the plan?
East to West, South to North, we will explore all the four corners of Madeira in a week of action! Regarding the detailed itinerary, we will adapt it each day according to the current weather conditions. In general, we will ride 5 days – 360 Madeira. On average, we make 22 miles per day, of what 6500 ft descent and 650 ft ascent.
However, this package offers more than just riding!
“Wait, do you mean this gets even better?” YES, it does! This trip on Madeira is also a cultural and gastronomical adventure. Whatsmore, you can experience the island as a true local! You will have a chance to try some of the local’s dishes and taste the exquisite Madeira wine!

Day 1 – Shuttle from the Funchal Airport to your hotel in Funchal de Capital or to the Villa (about 15 min away from the capital)
If you are traveling from far away we do recommend you arrive early enough to help you adjust to the time zone and to avoid any luggage or flight delay complications.
We will pick you up at the airport and drive you to your chosen accommodation for the week. After you get settled and relaxed, you will meet your local guide for a short briefing about the upcoming days. A quick chat will be followed by a dinner in town (suggested by locals) and a relaxed time getting to know each other.
Alternatively, you can organize your own arrival to Madeira and join us whenever it suits you best.
Day 2 – Warm up Madeira
The first day, your local guide will introduce you to the most common trails and rules around the area. Then, we will set up your bikes and hit the first trails.
Regarding the lunch breaks, the guide will stop at a local snack-bar/restaurant to eat a hot light meal and taste some of the island’s specialties coming from this small, but a truly diverse island.
Day 3 -7 – 360 Madeira
A more detailed daily itinerary will be made on spot acknowledging the experiences of the local guides about the weather conditions and the state of trails. Consequently, the guide will choose the most suitable option for you to experience Madeira on bikes at its best.
Day 8 – Departure day
Packing and shuttle back to the airport.
