Whistler, Pemberton, Canada, Squamish

Sea to Sky area of British Columbia

Are you into outdoor sports? Then there is hardly a better place to visit than the infamous Sea to Sky coastal region! This multi-activity program Best of British Columbia features the activities we like the most. Nevertheless, we can also customize it to cater your personal preferences.

What is the program like?

Best known for its world-class skiing, climbing, hiking, and mountain biking. However, Sea to Sky area is also home to exciting water activities, such as whitewater rafting, kiteboarding, SUP-ing and power boating. Do you feel like having a little less intense day? No problem, there are also plenty of relaxing activities. You can enjoy a game of golf, frisbee or relax in the spa.

Is there anything else besides sport?

Besides the famous Whistler, you will also get to know Squamish and Pemberton. First one is a logging industry town turning adventure capital, where glacier mountains meet the ocean. Pemberton, on the other hand, is a town characterized by its rustic wild-west-like appearance. A first nation’s heritage lies nestled in between mountains, rivers, and lakes.

Day 1 – Vancouver to Whistler shuttle

If you are traveling from far away we recommend arriving at least a day early to help you adjust to the time zone and to avoid any luggage or flight delay complications.

We will pick you up at the airport or at a designated meeting point and drive you to Whistler, where we will move into our accommodation for the duration of this program. After you get settled, we will have a short briefing followed by a dinner in town and a relaxed time spent together to get to know each other.

Alternatively, you can organize your own arrival to Whistler and join us whenever it suits you best.

Day 2 – Biking Whistler local trails

We will pick up our bikes for the day, customize them if necessary and do a short skills and safety training. Our guide will take you on a beginner to intermediate level trails that will introduce you to the world-famous BC coastal biking style and leave you longing for more.

Day 3 – Bike in Pemberton or hike Joffre Lakes

You can choose from taking a guided bike tour of +intermediate trails of Pemberton or taking an easier level hike to some of the most beautiful lakes you will have ever seen, the Joffre Lakes. Do not forget your camera!

Day 4 – Elaho rafting trip

This is a full day rafting trip on the ice-cold class IV rapids of the Elaho and Squamish rivers. A school bus will take us into pure BC wilderness, far away from any settlements and mobile phone coverage, following a logging road. We will then raft back towards Squamish, underneath the glaciers of the Tantalus Mountain Range and past a Mount Cayley volcano.

Day 5 – A day off in Whistler or bike park

This is a day for you to completely customize for yourself. Do you feel like playing golf, visit a First Nations Museum, or simply kick your shoes off and relax in a spa? We can help you with recommendations for any of those. If you’d rather experience a bungee jump into the Cheakamus River Canyon, Peak2Peak gondola or bike the Top of the World Trail, we can book that for you too. Bike park – You can’t come to Whistler and not give it a go in the downhill bike park. OK, you can, but you’d be missing out big time. You can either follow the lead of our experienced guide that will choose a trail per your skill level or use the day to explore the park on your own.

Day 6 – Garibaldi Lake hike

One of the most popular hikes in the area will take us to the Garibaldi Lake, a massive water reservoir only held back by a narrow lava dam called the Barrier, which was formed during a volcanic eruption 9000 years ago. This is a full day hiking trip.

Day 7 – Choose your Squamish activity

Just like the day off in Whistler, you will be able to customize your day in Squamish. We will take care of transportation, while you decide whether you want to have a nice meal, hike on top of the Sea to Sky gondola or maybe take a climbing course at the base of the Stawamus Chief, the second largest granite monolith in the world. You may wish to spend the afternoon power boating in the Howe Sound or take a plane tour of the area. Either way, we will finish strong, with a day to remember.
