10 days
North America, Utah, Colorado

10 days of winter fairytale guaranteed!

We tried it ourselves, got totally blown away by its charm and been returning since then! Colorado/Utah in winter tour is truly something that every “winter child” has to experience at least once in this lifetime!

This package has it all.

The best skiing you have ever experienced while staying in some of the finest chalets in the area. That way, you will be able to properly relax after the whole day of skiing on the untouched terrains. By enjoying the commodities these chalets have to offer, you will be 100 % ready every morning!

We are going to start in Colorado and in the middle of the tour move towards Park City, Utah. This city borders with some of the best mountains and resorts around the area. Again, it also offers top world-class accommodation, so no worries about your ‘free time’ activities. Besides active daily life, there is also a lively nightlife going on, with an array of options for post-skiing hot spots! We are well aware that the off-mountain experiences can be just as crucial as the on-mountain adventures.

Day 1 – Arrival to Denver International Airport

The first day is the arrival day. You can arrive in Denver at your own pace, the only requirement is to be there for the evening meeting, where you will be able to get to know your guide and the whole group. Sleep in one of the small hotels in Denver.

Day 2 – Crested Butte

We are going to leave Denver after the breakfast and move towards Crested Butte. The drive will be around 4h. Once we arrive there, we will have a whole day of skiing in the Rocky Mountains! There are numerous downhill ski trails crisscrossing the slopes of Crested Butte Mountain Resort, so you will have plenty of choices on how to best spend your 1st day! We will sleep over in a small hotel in Crested Butte.

Day 3 – Crested Butte to Ouray

Next morning we will have another great day to enjoy the same resort as the options are vast. After skiing, we will slowly start heading towards Ouray, where we will sleepover. The drive will be around 2,5h.

Day 4 – Ouray & Telluride

We will start our day with a good nutritious breakfast that will serve us for a good day of skiing that is ahead of us. After the breakfast, we will drive for 45 mins and arrive at Telluride. There, we will have a whole day of fun skiing, and in the late afternoon, relax in one of the small family hotels in the area.

Day 5 – Colorado --> Utah

Waking up in Telluride, which is set in a box canyon amid forested peaks at the base of this really popular ski resort, we will spend another whole day exploring this area on skis. Later in the evening, we will drive for around 3h and leave Colorado for Utah. We will sleepover in Moab, Utah.

Day 6 – Day off skiing

This will be your day off. Day off skiing, we mean of course! This cozy little town of Moab is an excellent starting point for discovering nearby national parks. The city offers endless opportunities for outdoor activities such as MTB, quad bike rides, exploration of national parks and world-famous natural bridges, or you can take a raft along Colorado. The options are infinite, but the choice is yours only!

In the afternoon, we will drive for approx. 3h and arrive in Park City, which will be our sleep destination for the rest of the holidays. Park City is a true icon of ski resorts with unlimited tourist offer and an ideal location for day trips around the surrounding ski slopes.

Day 7 – Alta/Snowbird

After having 1st breakfast at the Peaks hotel & spa, we will drive for approx 1/2h to the Alta ski area. Alta is one of the best skiing areas in Utah, covered with more than 500 inches of the Greatest Snow on Earth! Unfortunately, as you already know, this resort does not allow snowboarders, therefore we will drive them to another resort nearby, Snowbird. Snowbird is a powder lover’s dream as well, with the similar amount of snow per year. At the end of the day, we will return to Park City for dinner and sleepover.

Day 8 – Snowbasin

Today, we will go and explore another very easily accessible ski resort in the area, Snowbasin. After breakfast, we will drive for 1/2h to the destination and later have the whole day to experience the best day ever on this mountain! Evening return to Peaks hotel in Park City.

Day 9 – Snowbird/Alta

After breakfast, we will hit the slopes one last time. On the last day, you have the option of choosing between two neighboring ski resorts, Snowbird or Alta. The pass for both ski resorts is the same, and they are only separated from one another by a 5-minute ride with a cable car. What a better way to end this trip? Late evening return to Park City.

Day 10 – Departure day

Today we will, unfortunately, have to say our goodbyes in the Park City. This day’s plan will depend on your return flight from the Salt Lake City airport, which is 20 mins drive away. If your flight is not until late afternoon or evening, you can enjoy your last day skiing in the famous ski resort in Park City. If you prefer to do to something less active, you can go for a short stroll around the city, stop in a coffee shop or spend your day differently. Until next time!:)
